Shane Dawson
Shane moved to Durango in 2003 to pursue his career in the local real estate and finance markets. Originally from Chicago, Shane has had the opportunity to live in and enjoy the different experiences of the Southwest including stays in Scottsdale & Flagstaff, AZ and the vast expanses of Big Bend National Park, Texas where he managed the resort operations and worked on development projects for the National Park Service & Forever Resorts.
Shane attended Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University where he graduated with his business degree in Resort Management in 1998.
After a successful career in operating properties for Forever Resorts, a National Park Concessionaire, Shane decided to turn his attention to his dream of brokering real estate and finance transactions. Upon moving to Durango, Shane became licensed in real estate and worked on land development projects and large acreage ranch sales at Durango Alpine Realty. Shane is also the owner of Pinnacle Mortgage Group, LLC, where he brokers residential, commercial and investment loans.
Shane is excited to be a part of the Team at Horizon Properties and looks forward to expanding his involvement and relationships in the community and local real estate market.
Shane has a young son, Kelley, whom he adores and spends his time with at every available opportunity. They like to hike, bike, play and spend time outdoors.
